The first in-class project has definitely been a bit of a learning curve, especially in terms of the logistics of doing stained glass in school. However, I feel like I'm making good progress with this first piece! I'm a bit behind in terms of timing, but all I have left to do is solder and I'm feeling good about the composition and glass choice. In the future, I'd like to streamline the tracing/cutting/grinding process by using a vinyl or sticker paper template to keep my cuts very precise, which will hopefully fix some of the need to fill blank spaces with solder that I've experienced in my last 2 pieces (I think this is because I use so many organic shapes that there are inevitably a few small inaccuracies that shift the whole piece and create gaps).
