For my sculpture project, I don't really have any progress pics to post because all I have done so far is a casting of my own arm, which (to be frank) looks like a bit of a blob from the outside. I've gone through a lot of internal anxiety about how the casting of my hand will go, but I'm hoping that if it fails I can instead cast mannequin hands very quickly to finish off the project.

My hope for the project is to have free-standing arms holding up a casted face, which will then be covered in mosaic shards of vintage china, to look like some kind of shattered floral arms holding up a head. With that, I will whittle found sticks into some sort of vines covered in leaves to "grow up" the arms, with the hope of the final product coming off as an iteration of flowers shown through the growth of the human body.
